PoK roads in shambles as admin-businessmen alliance continues to exploit exchequer
Jun 29, 2020
Chinari (Hattian Bala), June 29: This road connects a densely populated Chinari village with the highway leading to capital Muzaffarabad of illegally occupied region of PoK. The result of this condition is that a 51km distance becomes a painful journey of hours. And this is not just about one street in PoK but almost entire region barring the areas that hold materialistic value for Pakistan have similar condition across the region. It appears as if no work has been done in decades. Locals confirm that they have always seen streets in their villages like that only. The designs of not providing even the fundamentals to the people living in this illegally occupied region appear systematic. Exiled activist from the region have said this time and again that Pakistan doesn’t want to see the people of the region progressing at any front, whether it is social, economic or political. The residents of the region have only complained of being plundered through one means or other. Pakistan government has established a number of projects in the region but not even a small fraction of the dividend is shared with the locals. With no light at the end of the tunnel, people of the region have now come to terms with the perennial discrimination they are meted out by the occupier Pakistan.
