Sep 27, 2019
Tokyo (Japan), Sep 26 (ANI): Hotel Okura & Resorts opened "The Okura Tokyo" at the site of the old main building that closed four years ago. The city will witness tough competition between old hotels and new foreign luxury hotels in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. The new hotel features two wings, an "Okura Prestige" and the "Okura Heritage.” Both hotel wings have inherited Japanese traditional beauty while being equipped with the latest facility and function. The most attractive aspect of the hotel is the lobby of the Okura Prestige Tower. The new lobby includes shaped lanterns, lacquer tables and chairs showcasing an honest recreation of the older Hotel Okura lobby. Various domestic and international media were present in a privately held inauguration show as it drew a lot of attention from around the world. This big banquet hall is used for weddings and hosting dignitaries. Along with a high-rise room with a view of city scenery of Tokyo, authentic Japanese restaurant and barare are also available in the hotel. The guestrooms have sweeping view and many comforts that have become well known by frequent Hotel Okura customers. A gym with a pool and latest gadgets is also provided. Inside the hotel site, a traditional Japanese museum with many important cultural properties is available for viewing. The collection inside the Okura Museum of Art includes 2500 items. With 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, Hotel Okura hopes to attract foreign tourists with their traditional Japanese hospitality Omotenashi, giving an authentic experience of Japanese culture.
