Board will be formed soon for welfare of workers in unorganised sector: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) Aug 05 (ANI): Taking a big decision for the welfare of lakhs of workers in the unorganised sector, Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given directions to form ‘State Social Security Board for Unorganised Workers’ to ensure their social security. CM Gehlot announced this during the review meeting of the Labour Department and the Department of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship through video conference. The primary task of this board will be to form the outline of the social security schemes for labourers. During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed to launch campaign throughout the state for the registration of disadvantaged eligible construction labourers or workers through Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, so that every eligible labourer could get the benefit of the social security schemes operated through the board. Reviewing the Department of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship, the Chief Minister said that it is important to train youth according to the demand of industries so as to link them with employment. Large scale training programme should be conducted for it. He instructed that there are many ongoing schemes for skill development, which should be integrated and simplified so that the youth can easily take advantage of it.
